Self-heal is the common name for a plant known scientifically as Prunella Vulgaris. It's a purple wildflower that is native to Europe. It grows across sunny fields and meadow trails across the Northeastern United States.
It's a plant with a long history of use as a wound healer, both topically and internally. When in season, we find Self Heal growing abundantly across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We infuse wild-harvested Self heal into this salve for its beneficial properties.

Goldenrod is a yellow wildflower sometimes called "wound-wort" for its ability to heal cuts and sores. Our Goldenrod is organic or wildcrafted, and always harvested on American soil.
Calendula is a vibrant colored, yet delicate flower often infused in oils and salves for its anti-inflammatory and skin-protecting qualities. We infuse the soft petals of this flower into our Self Heal salve. Our Calendula is always grown organically on American soi.
Chamomile is a world-renowned nervine often blended into tea for its calming properties, but we include it in this scented salve for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Our Chamomile is always grown organically.
Olive oil & plant-based candelilla wax:
We use olive oil and candelilla wax in this salve to soothe the skin without clogging it. Olive oil is nourishing for the skin. A little goes a long way with Glam Gardener's scented salves. Just use a fingertip's worth when applying to skin.
We use candelilla wax in this salve instead of beeswax to ensure that all of this salve's ingredients are 100% plant-based.
Authentic essential oils with Kosher certification & never tested on animals:
We always use 100% authentic essential oils that are derived from the plant itself. We never use fragrance oils or synthetic ingredients in any of our products. Our Chamomile essential oil is derived from the flowers of the Chamomile plant (Anthemis nobilis) using a steam distillation method. Our oils are certified Kosher and are never tested on animals.

When oils turn rancid (bad), they will smell like Crayons. This is a trick that you can use to determine the freshness of most oils and oil-based products.
