Our Sassafras leaves are fresh, always USA-harvested & wildcrafted, unlike others you may find from major suppliers. Our Sassafras is richer in color and flavor than Sassafras from any other herb distributor... we promise!
It's hard to describe the unique flavor of Sassafras. Think of a leaf with notes of lemon, root beer, and fruit loops. Yes, fruit loops! This wild, abundant, and native tree was traditionally made into tea and used by Native Americans as a tonic (blood purifier).
We add Sassafras to this blend for its delicious flavor, but it's recognized across the globe for a wealth of medicinal and practical uses.
Its leaves have mucilaginous qualities. So you may notice when you make a cup of this tea in its looseleaf form, the water becomes quite gooey. That mucilage quality is so good to bring a soothing element to your digestive system.

Bayberry: A plant so fragrant, its been used to scent candles
Bayberry—Northern Bayberry that is (Myrica pensylvanica)—is a wild, native, and abundant tree that grows fragrant leaves, berries, and roots. Northern Bayberry is one of those rare plants that is not available on the commercial herb market. If you want to enjoy its flavor, you typically have to harvest it yourself!
Glam Gardener harvests and infuses the leaves of this plant into our Lavender Dreams blend.
Historically, this plant's waxy berries were harvested to make candles due to their intoxicating aroma. Its flavor is reminiscent of black or jasmine tea, resulting in a wild plant with a familiar flavor. Bayberry has antibacterial, antioxidant, and astringent properties.
Bayberry is one of Glam Gardener's most beloved wild-growing plants. Why? Bayberry is incredibly abundant, meaning that when harvested responsibly, there's more than enough to go around! Since Northern Bayberry is not available on the commercial herb market, every opportunity to consume Bayberry was harvested by hand by a small farmer or harvester. Drinking a cup of tea with this plant is very special. <3
