Frozen Hot Cocoa Mix | Gourmet Frappe | Dairy Free, Gluten Free, Vegan, Organic

When I ordered this, the weather outside was like 80F. When I got around to trying it, it was nearly 45F. While I can't say I picked the perfect time for cold cocoa, I can say that it's pretty tasty.

Some points of note:
? It's not too sweet, which is surprising given the 17g of sugar.
? The coconut notes are really prominent, both in fragrance and taste. I like it, but steer clear if you don't like coconut.
? The instructions say to use non-dairy milk, although there's certainly no reason you couldn't. I used lactose-free milk, and it tasted great.
? I do have to dock it because of its packaging design. The powder gums up the bag seal and causes it to be unsealable. I had to go in with a toothpick and essentially "clean up" the bag, which seems a bit unreasonable for the consumer to do.

It's pretty tasty and consequently not particularly good for you, given the sugar content. A great at-home way to get a chocolatey shake-like fix.

So, personally, I find this absolutely delicious. But I was completely taken aback when I first opened it and it smelled like coconut, not chocolate.
It's not a big bag, but only takes a 1/4 cup to make a big frappe. Blended well in my little personal blender. A little grainy (typical of coconut), but pretty smooth overall. I appreciate it being dairy free, so mixed with my favorite plant-based milk my lactose adverse tummy was very happy.
The flavor is predominately coconut with the chocolate more of an after taste. It is like drinking an almond joy candy bar on ice. If you don't like coconut, you'll want to pass on this. It is sweet, but not overly so. Was enough to make my sweet tooth happy without putting me on a sugar high and subsequent crash.

It was an event when my wife mixed some of this up. It was DELICIOUS. Just the right amount of chocolate meets coconut. It mixes great in a blender and the other times we've made it we just used a frother and that still did the trick

It tastes as good as it smells and as good as it smells and tastes it's hard to believe it's plant based. If you've got friends who're still on the fence on whether or not good for you can taste amazing, make them a cup of this stuff

If you are a fan of coconut, this will knock your socks off. It has a tasty coconut flavor swimming in a sea of chocolate. If you dont care for strong flavors like coconut, this may be a bit much. Personally, I dont mind coconut-flavored drinks like this, just not regularly. The mix seemed to mix decent in the blender with ice and the recommended cold water and gave it a whirl. It came out pretty smooth, but again it has 17g of sugar per serving, so it may not appeal to everyone. On the plus, it has natural ingredients you can pronounce AND Himalayan salt.

Has a coconut flavor to it! Will make your children very happy when you surprise them with something called frozen hot chocolate! Will blow their minds! Happy to make them happy, they will enjoy it!
