Why the heck do you sell bread butts?
1) To serve all the folks out there who love bread butts. 🙋♂️
2) To keep more of our precious food from landfill🤭! How? Many cafes and sandwich shops use our Long Slice bread. Customarily these establishments don’t use heels of bread and throw them away. So we take the heels off and package them up as a delicious novelty bread.😍🙌
Who the heck came up with that idea?
The son of one of our bakers, August, couldn’t stop eating the bread butts. They are his favorite. One day he made a fair statement of “I don’t know why you adults don’t sell these and call them bread butts.” It was hard to argue with, so we had to do it. In exchange, August negotiated free bread butts for life.😉
