About This Item

EMMA vegan sneakers are a meaningful step forward on our path toward sustainable fashion. The upper is made completely of apple leather, a sustainable material produced from fibers salvaged from waste left over during the juicing of apples. This apple leather offers both waterproofing and breathability, so it performs well over long distances no matter the weather, be it rainy or hot. Thanks to its high quality and durability, this plant-based leather means your sneakers can stay with you for a long time. On the inside, the shoe is lined with a soft, flexible bamboo fabric that hugs your feet comfortably, keeping them warm in winter and cool in summer. Bamboo naturally resists bacteria and fungus and helps regulate temperature, keeping your feet comfortable throughout the year. With your health in mind, we selected natural cork for the insoles, since cork is long-lasting, antiseptic, absorbs moisture well, and helps prevent chafing. Topping it all off is an extremely lightweight, comfortable sole that lets you wear the shoes all day without any downsides. EMMA embodies our approach to minimalism, deliberately free from unnecessary extras or decoration. Rather than traditional laces, we use laces made entirely from natural linen, which can be recycled easily at the end of their life. These shoes are built using what's known as Strobel construction, a shoemaking method that boosts comfort while cutting the use of adhesives by 70-80% compared to traditional stitched/studded construction. This construction technique also improves breathability and helps avoid the unpleasant odors that adhesives can create once they react with sweat.
