Friends of Animals

Friends of Animals is a non-profit, international animal advocacy organization founded in 1957. We advocate for the rights of nonhuman animals, free-living and domestic. Our goal is to free animals from cruelty and institutionalized exploitation around the world, and we work to achieve this goal through efficient activism, vegan education, sanctuary/rescue work, and legal action.

Thanks to your support, we manage a sanctuary that is home to over 300 diverse residents including chimpanzees and many other primates, goats, horses, a pig, and birds. Our Wildlife Law Program gains protections for countless animals while also challenging the animal exploitation industry, and we highlight the importance of veganism through our educational programming.
