Date Smarter! was born out of my journey as a TV news anchor and reporter, juggling unpredictable hours, telling impactful stories both from the desk and out in the field. Life was fast-paced, with 3 AM wake-up calls for morning shifts and long nights covering breaking news. Amid the chaos, I realized how important it was to fuel my body with nourishing, wholesome foods that still allowed me to indulge in sweetness without compromise.

That’s when I discovered date powder—a natural, delicious sugar alternative that not only satisfied my sweet tooth but also aligned with my commitment to healthy eating. I began experimenting in my own kitchen, crafting snacks and treats that tasted indulgent but were packed with good-for-you ingredients. The results were too good to keep to myself!
