Founded in 1989, Animal Place is one of the oldest and largest animal sanctuaries,  housing over 300 rescued farmed animals, where they will live the rest of their natural lives in our compassionate care. Animal Place’s mission is to provide refuge for unwanted farmed animals, to further their welfare through education of the public, and to foster ethics of compassion and responsibility towards nonhuman animals by advocating a vegan lifestyle.
