The Science Behind This Formula:

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is a skincare ingredient with decades of supporting research. It is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from damaging free radicals produced when exposed to ultraviolet light. It is a co-factor in the collagen biosynthesis pathway, increasing collagen levels in the skin. The form of Vitamin C used here also possesses exfoliating properties.

Allantoin is a soothing and moisturizing, naturally occurring compound found in many plants. It helps to relieve dryness, itching, and redness; hence, it is suitable for sensitive and dry skin. It has been shown to promote wound healing. It possesses mild exfoliating properties that help to remove dead skin cells and encourage cell turnover, leaving brighter, smoother, and even skin. Anti-inflammatory that reduces inflammation and redness and is helpful for those with conditions such as rosacea or acne.

Licorice root – we added this extract here for its soothing properties and to complement the brightening effects of Vitamin C. Main active components are glycyrrhizin, liquidity, and glabridin, which have antioxidant properties and further complement the formula. It has been shown to inhibit the enzyme responsible for melanin production known as tyrosinase, brightening the skin and helping fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation.

Rosehip extract – is abundant in Vitamin C, which complements the effects of ascorbic acid.

Chamomile extract is soothing and anti-inflammatory due to its active ingredient, bisabolol, added here to make the formula milder and suitable for sensitive and reactive skin. Reduces redness, skin irritation, and inflammation.

Rhassoul, or Morrocan red clay, is a detoxifying natural mineral-rich clay from Morocco. Its benefits for the skin include cleansing, exfoliation, oil balancing, and improving skin texture. It is nourishing and anti-inflammatory and promotes better circulation. It is also eco-friendly and safe for all skin types.

How to use:

Mix with water to make a paste and apply to the face for 5-8 minutes or until dry. Wash with water and follow up with face oil, cream, or a balm.

It can be used morning and evening .

If used in the morning, make sure to wear a sunscreen!
