About This Item

Good friends, cake, and festive drinks don't have to mean more landfill waste. Preserve Compostables are crafted from plants, so once the celebration wraps up, they can go right back into the soil. That's a party-friendly way to do things. (You can find more details on this product line on the brand's site.)\n\nFeatures:\n- 12 oz cups suitable for both hot and cold drinks\n- Gluten free\n- Made in the USA\n- Compostable at a commercial composting facility\n- Can hold hot beverages up to 190°F\n\nWhy make single-use tableware? Preserve has spent 20 years building durable, reusable goods from recycled #5 plastic - so why branch into single-use, compostable options now? The company began developing plant-based tableware back in 2003, and this line is the result of that research finally coming together. Composting infrastructure has also improved significantly since then. While reusable products remain a priority, Preserve recognizes that some occasions call for single-use items, and they wanted to offer an option made from renewable resources that's gentler on the planet.\n\nIn short: these 12 oz cups are made from plant-based, renewable materials that return to the soil after use, are non-toxic, manufactured in the USA, and work well for both hot and cold drinks - a lighter-impact choice for gatherings where single-use tableware makes sense.
