I’m pleased with this as my go-to daily vitamin that covers most of my bases. I’m a vegan, so I appreciate that a) The ingredients are all vegan – no gelatin or anything to worry about, and b) It seems to formulated with vegans in mind, including relevant things like b12. It would work just fine for non vegans too of course. The only thing I was a little confused about was the relatively low calcium content in this compared to the other vitamins etc, which seem to be like 100% + of the RDI. After a bit of digging though, I found out studies have suggested that supplenting/over-supplementing calcium specifically has been linked to heart issues. My description of this is super vague, and I’m not saying it’s true or not, I really don’t know. Do your own research. But my point is, I’m assuming they MAY have left it out for that reason, so that folks can make their own choice regarding that and it won’t stop those people from buying this supplement. If you do still want to supplement calcium, this same brand – DEVA, offers a separate calcium-magnesium supplement that I took for awhile. The only other thing I can think is that being that a lot of non vegans actually already get enough or too much calcium, especially from less healthy animal sources, they may have figured if those people decided to take this supplement they would be getting far too much calcium. I don’t know either of those things for a fact, but just throwing out some thoughts in case anyone looking at the supplement facts for this product was wondering the same thing I was. Anyway, I’ve been taking this quite a long time now, and I can’t say I feel markedly better, but like I said it’s been a long time so I don’t really remember how I felt before I started taking it, and if that was any different to how I do now haha. Also it doesn’t help that I’m terrible at taking it every day. I know I don’t eat as well as I should, so for my own peace of mind, especially at such a reasonable price, and knowing that I definitely need b12 anyway, I just feel better taking it regardless, eases my mind a little bit. The pills are slightly on the larger side but I still find them tolerable and they aren’t hard to get down, even though I sometimes am not the best with swallowing pills.

Originally I purchased this vitamin for my daughter who wanted gelatin-free vitamins. Due to taking anti-depressants she was told by her doctor to refrain from taking this vitamin due to a proprietary blend that left a question mark as to how it might interact with her medication. Since I had just had to stop taking another brand due to a medication I’m taking containing grape seed extract (this product doesn’t have it…), I decided to take these in place of my old vitamin. So far, I’m pleased.————————————–SIZE and TASTE:Not particularly large by comparison to the Opti-Women’s vitamins I was taking, I’ve had no issues swallowing one of these pills per day. They are hard and could be cut with a pill cutter if needed to make them smaller. They might taste bad to some people who have them in their mouths for long enough to let them start to melt, but I’ve noticed no bad taste with them.STOMACH ISSUES:I have ulcerative colitis and thus many things upset my GI tract. I have not noticed this vitamin being any worse than any other multi-vitamin I’ve taken in the past in this area, but I do take it with a meal to prevent upset.IRON INCLUDED:You can get 100% of your recommended Iron by taking this vitamin. I like that, but it could be an issue for some who either don’t want to take iron supplements or find it upsets their stomach.1666% of RECOMMENDED B-12:Wow! That’s a lot, but not if you are someone who needs an energy boost due to chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia (which I’ve dealt with for 17 years). In addition to this multivitamin I take a supplemental bit of B-12 (2500mcg to 5000mcg a day).YOU MAY WANT MORE OF THESE:Not 100% on all fronts, users of this product may want to supplement further if they want more of these. There is Biotin (25%), Calcium Carbonate (10%), Zinc (73%), Magnesium (10%) and Copper (10%) in one dose of these vitamins.—————————————————I love that you get two bottles – enough for one person for 6 months taken as a daily dose – in this package. It’s an inexpensive way to support a healthy immune system and energy production with a multi-vitamin rich in B vitamins. It’s also a good choice for those who are anemic to get the recommended dose of iron along with the B vitamins in a single dose. I think vegans and non-vegans can both reap benefits from taking this multi-vitamin once a day, and save money too. I recommend it!

Update: watch the price. I ordered for $23 for the two pack and then three days later they were priced at $13 for the two pack. Same exact item# and they were both the two pack, both from Amazon. I almost wonder if they bump the price up on certain days when they have a lot of subscribe and save orders coming due… I bought several of the two packs at $13 and cancelled my subscription for the time being. Seeing how I now have a years worth of vitamins. (They don’t expire that quickly, so yay)—————I did a lot of research to find a truly vegan multivitamin that included enough of the essential vitamins (except D of course) for someone on a vegan diet. Since I can’t always pay too much attention to every item I eat and make sure that I have every vitamin I need, this is a good daily resource. I do enjoy mixing up a lot of fruit and veggie into my diet, but as much as I try and add variety, there are days where I know I am missing out on something my body needs. This is probably true for most vegans.I have zero complaints about this brand. I have not had any ill effects, nor has my partner. We take an additional vitamin D supplement since we live in sunny Oregon (sarcastically). This brand seems to have more of the essential vitamins that are lacking in a vegan diet. On comparing this to other brands, I found I liked the lower calcium (which studies are inconclusive that a lot of calcium is good for you – many studies now show too much calcium can actually encourage bone loss! Seriously – research it. I saw it on the forks over knives documentary and then looked it up.) There is also a good amount of the A and B vitamins, many other vegan brands lack complete A vitamins. So do some research as I did and you’ll probably agree. Also, I have not had any issues with unpleasant smell or after taste. The vitamins are a decent size, but they are one a day and they are no larger than the Centrum stuff I used to take before going vegan. I have not had one ill effect. But of note: take these AFTER eating. Do not take on an empty stomach or you will feel gross (this is true of most vitamins). The vitamins are broken down and absorbed easier through food. So I usually take it after finishing lunch.Highly recommend the vitamin D also:
